Week 5 - Finishing Instructions

Today is week 5 of the Fat Quarter Shop's Evergreen Quilt-Along! This is the week we get to bring all of our work together and build our Evergreen Christmas! Every Tuesday in July, and the start of August 2023, the FQS will release a NEW, MYSTERY pattern! I am excited to join this QAL for Christmas in July!!! YAY!

I am using my Silent Night fabric collection with Riley Blake Designs! I am really enjoying watching you SAL together with us and I am loving how your Silent Night, Evergreen Quilts are coming together with so much love and care! What a fun, community building, mystery QAL this has been!

This festive design would make a lovely wall hanging since it finishes at 31.5” x 37.5”.

We are sewing ours with fabric from my Silent Night collection for Riley Blake Designs. You can pick up your Evergreen Quilt Kit from the Fat Quarter Shop HERE, which includes fabric for the top, binding, and backing!

You can also download the fabric requirements from the Fat Quarter Shop and use your favorite holiday fabrics.

If you want to make one in Silent Night fabric, here’s what I’m using:

1-1/4 yards background fabric (SC13575-DOVE)
3/4 yard tree print (SC135752-OLIVE)
1 fat quarter accent tree print (C13573-SPRIG)
1 - 10" stacker of Silent Night (10-13570-52)
1/2 yard binding (C12575-BERRY)
1-1/3 yards backing fabric – or the rest of the Layer Cake squares for a scrappy backing

All through July and the start of August 2023, the FQS will release a weekly free video tutorial on our YouTube channel with a FREE quilt block pattern.
